    Abstract Following the First Mayoral Forum on Mobility, Migration and Development held in Barcelona in June 2014, UNU-GCM is pleased to collaborate once again with UNITAR for the Second Mayoral Forum to be held on November 12-13 2015 in the city of Quito. GCM has contributed to the Forum with a policy brief entitled ‘Practicing Diversity’. Diversity is and has long been a hallmark of cities across the world. In the context of intensifying processes of urbanization and globalization, new forms of socio-cultural diversity will continue to shape large and small cities in profound ways. The policy brief examines the centrality of questions of migration and diversity to urban governance and highlights good practices in cities across the world.
