The project, supported by the Japanese Ministry of Environment, is part of a wider effort led by the IDEA Consultants Inc to provide policy recommendations for the Japanese government to develop integrated policy solutions for climate and biodiversity at regional and national levels. The United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) has summarized recent international policy developments on such solutions, and introduced best practices by compiling examples of local initiatives aimed at transforming food systems.
