    Abstract This study is focusing on the total environmental, economic and social impacts of the WEEE Directive. Secondly, it aims at generating options that can improve environmental effectiveness, cost efficiency and simplification of the legal framework. This study aims to complete the information needed for review of the WEEE Directive in 2008. The information gathered and analysis made, is intended to form the basis for the legislative impact assessment of options for review of the WEEE Directive.
