    Abstract

The anachronism of the traditional state centred security governance has led to the socalled crisis in multilateralism. Today's concept of global governance is in need of a redefinition that embraces the new context and concepts of security. A multilevel approach to security governance, based on the regional level, may be the key to overcome the present crisis of multilateralism.
