    Abstract This policy report critically discusses the use of voluntary returns as a policy. Arguing that despite their benefits they are not as effective, voluntary or moral as frequently claimed. It employs a case study of the UK to provide an example of some of the practices discussed. The policy recommendations emphasises the importance of a fair migration management system and the need to carefully consider the motivations for employing such a policy.
