The study was run between the years 1995 and 2010. LULC changes revealed competing land uses, which increased base and rock cover. The loss of green cover had a net effect of increasing both maximum and minimum temperature. Extreme weather effect negatively impacted crop and grassland cover, leading to forest area encroachment.
