The report is based upon accumulating data through quantitative and qualitative fieldwork carried out in Nauru in early 2015 by researchers from the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and University of the South Pacific (USP). The fieldwork consisted of a household survey undertaken on 155 household representatives which was complemented by Participatory Research Approach (PRA) tools and a Q study.
