    The Climate Risk Adaptation and Insurance in the Caribbean project seeks to address climate change, adaptation and vulnerability by promoting weather-index based insurance as a risk management instrument in the Caribbean. Developed under the aegis of this project, the goal of this handbook is to impart a better understanding of climate risk insurance and the role it can play in reducing social vulnerability and poverty in affected populations
