It transcends these intellectual disparities present in various disciplines dominated by psychology and economics. Specifically, the brief evaluates the interconnection of health, well-being, and sustainability through the lens of relational well-being, reconciling the discourse Beyond GDP. This perspective underscores the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being with both people and nature. It presents valuable perspectives on modernity’s challenges of mental, physiological, and environmental health stemming from disconnection between humans and nature. The brief offers recommendations to shift away from colonial mindsets through inner growth by (re)adopting a holistic well-being of living in harmony with nature. The publication is an output of T20 Brasil Task Force 6 on Strengthening Multilateralism and Global Governance. T20 Brasil is an engagement group of the Group of 20 (G20) that brings together think tanks and research centres from G20 members, guest countries and international organizations.
