    Abstract In early 2020, UNU-IIGH embarked on a journey to better understand the field of futures and foresight and to examine the potential value of its integration into the Institute's work. This report outlines the value of futures and foresight as tools for global health and makes three recommendations to underpin UNU-IIGH's continued application of futures thinking and foresight approaches to the institute's work: cultivate 'pracademics'; implement futures and foresight critically; and integrate foresight as part of a ‘jigsaw puzzle' approach.
