    Abstract The paper reflects on the factors that led to launching the Conference on the Future of Europe, as well as its limitations in terms of composition, functioning and methodology. It discusses the reform proposal of the European Parliament, the role of the Council, the Spanish presidency and sheds light on the way forward. -- El documento reflexiona sobre los factores que llevaron a poner en marcha la Conferencia sobre el Futuro de Europa, así como sobre sus limitaciones en cuanto a composición, funcionamiento y metodología. Analiza la propuesta de reforma del Parlamento Europeo, el papel del Consejo, la Presidencia española y arroja luz sobre el camino a seguir.
