This reflection paper discusses the concept of the Metaverse and the role of the government and the public sector in maximising the potential of conceptual metaverse technology for public service delivery. First, the aim is to reflect on the regulatory role, which must address the existing and emerging issues of the suit of technologies enabling the Metaverse.
