    Abstract A 2017 booklet describing the history, purpose and functioning of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI), and including the FY2016 annual report for the partnership. IPSI is a global partnership made up of member organizations working toward the goals of the Satoyama Initiative and its vision of realizing "societies in harmony with nature" through the revitalization and sustainable management of "socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes" (SEPLS). The annual report includes an overview of events and accomplishments under IPSI from April 2016 to March 2017.
