    Abstract

Marion Damm investigates the assessment of social-ecological vulnerability to flooding in Germany. The research was conducted within the scope of the Disaster Information System for Large-Scale Flood Events Using Earth Observation (DISFLOOD) project and presents an approach that allows mapping of vulnerability and risk at a regional level for all German river systems using indicators and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
