    Abstract

Policy Brief No. 7 illustrates the relevance of the concepts of social vulnerability and social resilience to understanding how climate change impacts translate into loss and damage for human society. Further, it is the result of the Keystone Conference that took place in early October 2012. The goal of this gathering was to contribute to the UNFCCC work programme on Loss and Damage. The authors provide seven recommendations in regards to the linkages between loss and damage and social vulnerability as well as social resilience.
