Abstract In September 2024, the General Assembly of the United Nations approved the Pact for the Future, along with its annexes, the Global Digital Compact (GDC) and the Declaration on Future Generations, in the Summit of the Future conference. In May 2024, the United Nations SIDS4 conference proposed a new Center of Excellence (CoE) situated in Antigua and Barbuda, which will include a Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Global Data Hub, a Technology and Innovation mechanism, an Island Investment Forum and a Debt Sustainability Service. Building on several of the principles, objectives and actions committed, this working paper explores two primary thematics. The first is how this CoE can adopt specific functions to best address the regional specificities of the Caribbean Small Island Developing States (C-SIDS). The second is how it can contribute to achieving the specific objectives of the GDC.
